MPs tour for health services

AGED care and mental health issues will be the focus of a tour of centres in the Flynn electorate, including Emerald, this week by Federal Member Ken O’Dowd and two key opposition shadow ministers.

Mr O’Dowd will be accompanied by Senator Connie Fierravanti-Wells, the Shadow Minister for Aging and Mental Health, and Dr Andrew Laming, the Shadow Parliamentary Secretary for Health Services and Indigenous Health.

Mr O’Dowd will meet the visitors at Gladstone Airport on Thursday before arriving in Emerald on Friday, where a meeting will be held at the Maraboon Tavern from 1pm. The group will visit aged care facilities and talk with health care workers.
