Mum, child tied up during home invasion

A MOTHER and her children woke up at 4am this morning to two men, armed with knives, threatening them after they broke into the family's Chambers Flat home, south of Brisbane.

The two men tied the woman and a 12-year-old boy up while they ransacked the home looking for valuables.

Three other children, all aged under 10, weren't tied up but did witness the robbery.

After the men fled, taking cash and mobile phones with them, the woman managed to free herself and report the horrific ordeal to police.

Nobody was physically injured during the invasion.

Detectives from Logan Criminal Investigation Branch are appealing for anyone in the vicinity of Chambers Flat Road around 4am this morning, who noticed anything suspicious, to contact police to help with their investigation.

Contact Policelink on 131 444 or report information anonymously to Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
