Policy for SCL wanted from LNP

NATURAL Resources Minister Rachel Nolan has called for LNP leader Campbell Newman to “finally” release a policy for the protection of strategic cropping land.

Ms Nolan said the LNP had been caught out telling “different people different things”.

“In July Campbell Newman went to Springsure, which falls in the Golden Triangle region, and gave an ‘ironclad guarantee’ that they would be protected,” she said.

“Today, local member Vaughan Johnson has contradicted his leader and told parliament that Campbell Newman never promised to protect Strategic Cropping Land in the Golden Triangle.”
