Negotiators called in to Landsborough stand off


POLICE have successful resolved the situation between officers and a man in his home at Mt Mellum.

Paramedics have transported the man to hospital.


POLICE negotiators have been called in to speak with a man holding officers at bay at a home near Landsborough.

Paramedics were initially called to the home on White's Rd at Mt Mellum at 9.39am today and police were called about five minutes later.

A police spokeswoman said the man inside the home was believed to be in his 20s.

Police cordons have been set up around the home.

The spokeswoman said the man was not a threat to the public
