New faces join Relay

WE would like to introduce someone new to Relay this year- the Faces of Relay Sue and Ian Johnson.

Sue, a cancer survivor, and Ian, her carer, are looking forward to relay and the organisers of Relay for Life thank them for accepting this role.

This year the Central Highlands Relay For Life is being held on Saturday, August 20, and Sunday, August 21, at the Emerald Showgrounds.

The committee would also like to announce The Rotary Club of Emerald Sunrise will be a Silver Sponsor for this year’s event.

They will be joining BMA, which is the Platinum Sponsor this year.

Part of the money raised from this year’s Relay for Life will go towards the Central Queensland Cancer Support Centre in Rockhampton that provided 650 nights of accommodation for 229 cancer patients and 182 carers from the Central Highlands region in 2010.
