Our top 10 most anticipated games for 2015

I'M INTO my third decade playing games and looking ahead at this year I'm slightly worried for my wallet.

The release schedules aren't yet finalised but if you're going to get excited about the outlook as it stands, here's a list of 10 upcoming games that I will approve you squealing over.

No Man's Sky

(Release date unknown)

Use your feet and a customisable spaceship to explore a procedurally generated universe with up to 18 quintillion possible, and visitable, planets.

Let that ruin your sense of scale.

I'll be out back shaking with anticipation.

There Came An Echo

(February 1)

A real-time strategy title (that looks suspiciously like an isometric squad game) with a strong reliance on voice-activated controls.

The epic kickstarter campaign and Will Wheaton's involvement are a bonus.

Evolve

(February 10)

Four humans hunt a monster. A monster hunts four humans. I've played it and absolutely cannot wait.

American Truck Simulator

(February 20)

Laugh at me now, but those of us who've played Euro Truck Simulator 2 know the glory of these games.

Join us.

Mortal Kombat

(April 14)

It's the honed g(l)ory of Mortal Kombat but with graphics that might make you wet yourself.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

(May 19)

The Witcher's gone open-world, but from what we've seen the goods are all there. Hopefully with more Triss and less gamergate.

RollerCoaster Tycoon World

(Early 2015)

The original was brilliant and after a few missteps I'm ready for a sequel that works. The multiplayer element where you can visit other parks, collaborate on parks and trade blueprints sounds like Sim City done right.

Shadow Realms

(2015)

Bioware's working on a 4v1 action RPG that blends modern fantasy with magic. So far it's looking like a mix of Evolve and Shadowrun Returns. Maybe there's some Dead or Alive 2 in there as well.

Star Wars: Battlefront

(Holiday 2015)

DICE is making a Star Wars: Battlefront reboot. If this weren't already the best news so far this year, its timing has been set to catch us in case Star Wars: The Force Awakens sucks.

Grand Theft Auto V

(January 27)

It's going to be nice to see GTA V played on something more powerful than a potato as it sees its first release on a real platform. My gratitude goes out to console owners for beta-testing it for us.
