The moon is our closest neighbour in space- the Earth's only natural satellite - but how much do you know about this rocky mass circling our planet?

If you looked to the skies two weeks ago you would have witnessed an enormous full moon shining on us. As the moon reached the point closest to Earth on its elliptical orbit, the moon was at its biggest and brightest for the year, making it a super moon and there's another to come on September 9.
