Night set to raise funds

WHAT happens when a rugby league legend and AFL great team up?

A lot of laughs with a bit of nonsense thrown in on the side.

Rugby league and Queensland State of Origin legend Mal Meninga and AFL Team of the Century great Sam Kekovich are joining wits for a one-off show in Blackwater.

The show, You Know it Makes Sense, will see Mal and Sam, best known as an AFL commentator, social opinionist and Lamb Ambassador, let loose in a night that will result in anything but sense.

Also on the night a league ball signed by the first State of Origin captains Artie Beetson and Tommy Raudonikis will be auctioned and a raffle will be held to raise funds for charity.

Money raised from the football auction will be donated to the Lions Flood Appeal while the rest of the proceeds will go towards buying communication aids for local sufferers of cerebral palsy.

The event is on Friday, March 18, starting from 6.30pm at the Blackwater Country Club.

Tickets are $69.90 each or $500 for a table of eight, and includes dinner and dessert.

Tickets must be pre-purchased and are selling fast.

For more information, contact the Blackwater Country Club on 4982 5275.
