One dead after car hits tree off Mount Nebo Road

POLICE are investigating after a man died in a single vehicle traffic crash at Mount Nebo overnight.

Initial investigations indicate the crash occurred around 11.40pm on Mount Nebo Road when the vehicle the man was driving has left the road and crashed into a tree down a steep embankment.

The driver and sole occupant, a 21-year-old Underwood man, died at the scene.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
