One man dead, woman and baby taken to hospital after crash

UPDATE:

A 45-YEAR-OLD man was pronounced deceased at the scene of the crash, police said.

A 21-year-old female passenger and seven-month-old baby have been transported to Mackay Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating and are appealing for any witness to the crash to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

EARLIER:

ONE person has died and two have been transported to Mackay Base Hospital with minor injuries after a single vehicle rollover on the highway.

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said the crash occurred about 4.15pm on the Bruce Hwy five kilometres south of Mount Ossa.

One of the occupants of the vehicle had been pronounced dead at the scene.
