UPDATE 4PM: POLICE have confirmed that a 22-year-old Rosewood man was killed in a horrific crash at Munbilla, south of Ipswich, this morning.
Two vehicles collided head-on on Munbilla Rd about 7.30am. A woman in the other vehicle was airlifted to the PA Hospital with serious injuries.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
* Police earlier reported the deceased man was an 18-year-old.
UPDATE11AM: POLICE are investigating the circumstances leading to a crash that killed an Ipswich man this morning.
Two vehicles collided head-on at Munbilla Rd, Munbilla, about 40km south of Ipswich, at 7.30am.
An 18-year-old man driving a white sedan was killed, while a woman driving a small SUV has been seriously injured.
She has been airlifted to the PA Hospital in a stable condition.
The Ipswich Forensic Crash Unit is at the scene and a large section of Munbilla Rd is closed, with diversions in place.
UPDATE 9AM: A MAN has been killed and a woman seriously injured in a crash this morning.
Police say two vehicles collided on Munbilla Rd, Kalbar about 7.30am.
The 18-year-old man, from Ipswich, was driving a Toyota Lexcen.
The woman, believed to be a 42-year-old local driving a Mitsubishi Outlander, is being flown to the PA Hospital with serious injuries. Her condition is stable at this stage.
The accident occurred on Dinnercamp Bridge.
Police have confirmed the Forensic Crash Unit will investigate the incident.
EARLIER: ONE person is trapped and seriously injured following a two-car crash this morning.
Police say the accident is on Kalbar-Munbilla Rd, Kalbar, about 40km south of Ipswich.
Queensland Ambulance Service says a female patient is being assessed at the scene.
Firefighters are on scene.
