One-year-old girl suffers burns to chest and arms

A ONE-YEAR-OLD girl has suffered burns to her chest and arms after an accident at a Newtown home.

It is believed the girl suffered burns to about 18 per cent of her body after boiling water scolded her yesterday about 8.30pm.

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokesman said the toddler was transported in a stable condition to the Toowoomba Hospital.
