JUST when viewers had sussed out who were good cooks and who needed to study up, six new teams were introduced on my Kitchen Rules tonight.

Oyster farmers Matt and Rob were eliminated after Adelaide mother and daughter Vicky and Celine sailed into second place behind Carol and Adam.

Even having a famous cousin like Chris Hemsworth couldn't save Rob from getting the chop on the reality cooking show.

"Overall a very fantastic, pleasurable experience; one that we won't forget," he said.

Big-talking Greeks Vicky and Celine finally got to show off their Greek cooking, serving up char-grilled octopus and cabbage rolls.

A disappointing dessert was the only let-down during their instant restaurant, earning them a score of 73.

The 10 remaining teams then came face-to-face with guest judge Colin Fassnidge, who revealed the big announcement mentioned by Pete Evans earlier.

"I've been rounding up my own group of home cooks," Fassnidge said.

"A group that is dedicated, passionate and motivated to win.

"Meet my secret round, your new competition.

"We're about to head off on our own instant restaurant round, and when we're done we'll be back to really shake things up."

Six stone-faced duos then walked into the room, with Ash comparing them to "terminators".

Viewers will find out more about the new teams when the additional third round of instant restaurants, judged by Fassnidge alone, starts tomorrow night.
