Party carries on after Oscars

Oscar fun for Elton John

SIR Elton John and David Furnish left their two-month-old son Zachary at home to host their star-studded Oscar viewing party last night.

The pair welcomed guests including Kim Kardashian, Sharon Osbourne and Heidi Klum to the 9th annual event at the Pacific Design Centre in West Hollywood, California, while their baby was tucked up in bed.

Asked about Zachary's whereabouts, David said: "Our baby is at home with the nanny."

"We'll make a quick stop at Vanity Fair and then go home to the little guy."

Other stars who attended the couple's glamorous event included Katie Price - who stole the limelight from many of the other guests in a revealing black dress - and British singer Florence Welch from band Florence and the Machine.

James Franco skips Oscar party after poor performance

James Franco reportedly skipped his own Oscar bash after being slammed for his awards show hosting skills.

The '127 Hours' star - who received a critical drubbing for his performance alongside Anne Hathaway at last night's show - had planned to throw an exclusive party at the Supper Club after the ceremony but instead left Los Angeles straight away.

A source revealed while some stars - including Seth Rogen, Kevin Spacey and actors from TV show '90210' were all in attendance the party was a "bust".

However James, 32, - who is studying at both Yale and New York Universities - took to his twitter account to explain his absence, claiming he had to return to classes.

He wrote: "Goodbye L.A.. It was fun! Time to head back to class."

Elizabeth Taylor's Oscars birthday

Elizabeth Taylor spent her 79th birthday watching the Oscars on television.

The double Academy Award-winning actress - who was admitted to Los Angeles' Cedars-Sinai Medical Center earlier this month with symptoms of heart failure - was rooting for 'The King's Speech', which took home four prizes at the ceremony last night.

Sally Morrison, the representative of the Hollywood legend, said: "Elizabeth will spend a quiet birthday this year as she continues to rest and recover at Cedars-Sinai.

Katie Price has knockout night with Khan

Katie Price and boxer Amir Khan were spotted flirting with each at a pre-Oscars party.

The TV star - who last week admitted she was looking for a new man following her separation from husband Alex Reid - was seen getting cosy with the light welterweight world champion at a star-studded bash at the lavish London Hotel in Sunset Boulevard, Hollywood.

According to fellow guests, at one point Katie, 32, and Amir, 24, started playing "sexual" games by seductively licking ice cream canapes with each other at their table.

An onlooker told Britain's The Sun newspaper: "There was no doubt to anyone in the room there was something going on.

"First he had his arm around her and they were very touchy-feel. After a few minutes he touched her bum and she absolutely loved it.

"Then a waiter brought them some canapes and they turned it into something sexual. He was licking the ice cream seductively and they started giggling and hugging. They were all over each other."

But last night, Amir told his fans the fun ended there and insisted he went home alone from the bash.

He wrote on twitter: "If anything comes out about me and Katie Price being at an Oscars party and spending a night together, it's not true. I was in bed alone at my own place for 11pm and was up @ 8am to train. Just to make it clear. I didn't no she was gona be there. (sic)"

Sandra Bullock wanted Oscars 'fun'

Sandra Bullock was determined to have "fun" at the Oscars - even though she was missing her son.

The screen beauty returned to the Academy Awards last night a year after she scooped the Best Actress accolade for her performance in 'The Blind Side', and although she was looking forward to the ceremony she admitted she doesn't like leaving her child Louis - who she adopted in January 2010.

Speaking on the red carpet before the prize-giving began at Los Angeles' Kodak Theatre, she said: "I want to have fun tonight. I'm saying that I want to have fun, but I don't know if I will.

"It's hard. You just have to make a point of coming here and having a good time but all I want to do is go home (to see Louis). But I'll make the best out of it and stick around."

Natalie Portman's baby is Oscars fan

Natalie Portman's baby was kicking during the Oscars.

The pregnant 29-year-old star took home the coveted Best Actress award from Los Angeles' Kodak Theatre  for her performance as psychotic ballerina Nina Sayers in 'Black Swan' and has revealed her unborn tot was enjoying the ceremony as much as her.

When asked how her baby - her first child with her fiance Benjamin Millepied - had reacted to her win after she had collected her statuette, she said: "I couldn't tell you. I don't really remember anything that happened just now. But the baby was definitely kicking a lot during the song portion of the show. Little dancer."

Now she has won an Academy Award, Natalie plans to relax for the next few months and prepare for her new arrival.

Amy Adams has diamond night at Oscars

Amy Adams
wore over $1.3 million worth of jewellery at the Oscars last night.

The 'Fighter' actress wore a Cartier platinum and diamond Haute Joaillerie secret watch bracelet, which was worth over $1 million, teamed with 2-carat diamond stud earrings, worth $35,000, and a Cartier platinum and diamond necklace with a carved 33.24-carat emerald, worth approximately $290,000.

After the ceremony, which was held at Hollywood's Kodak Theatre, Amy was planning to go out to celebrate, but didn't intend to be out all night because she had to be home for her nine-month-old daughter, Aviana.

The 36-year-old star - who is engaged to actor Darren Le Gallo - added to 'Access Hollywood': "I'll go out. Aviana will be asleep by then, so I don't feel too bad. But I can't stay out too late - she gets up at about 6 o'clock in the morning. I'll get up with her. She's so hard to resist. Really!"
