Gympie's Palmer and Greens candidates hard to find

Contributed

AS THE fallout from the David Gibson fracas continues to nip at the heels of the LNP here, Gympie's Palmer United Party candidate seems to have given up before the race even starts.

There are PUP election signs throughout the region, but they are all selling Clive Palmer, and don't actually mention the local candidate, Mitchell Frost. Mr Frost chose to launch his election campaign in Maryborough yesterday, along with the PUP candidates for Maryborough and Hervey Bay - a perplexing move.

Our requests for more information on Mr Frost (i.e. where he lives and works) appear to have fallen on deaf ears, though the PUP media company handling the release of information for PUP has politely taken our requests and promised to pass them on to Mr Frost.

The Greens' candidate Shena Macdonald has also proven to be a little elusive.

At this stage it seems the only candidates serious about this election, and about letting voters know who they are, are Shane Paulger KAP, Tony Perrett LNP and Stephen Meredith Labor.
