Parramatta to play one game a season in Darwin
PARRAMATTA is set to play one regular season game in Darwin each year for the next four years after signing an agreement with the Northern Territory government yesterday.
Club chairman Steve Sharp said the deal would see the Eels play a trial match in Alice Springs, in addition to the NRL fixture in Darwin.
Sharp also said players would be involved in programs in local communities designed to promote healthy lifestyles and help combat anti-socal behaviour.
"It's not just about playing a game, making a few dollars and getting out. We're going up there for a seven or eight day stint," he said.
