Pavlich's 350th just what the Dockers ordered

THE Swans may be riding high on the ladder in third spot, but coach John Longmire expects 16th-placed Fremantle to be at their fighting best on Saturday at home for skipper Matthew Pavlich 350th game.

Pavlich (pictured) has captained Fremantle for the past nine years, won its best-and fairest award six times and been its leading goalkicker eight times.

He has been forced to work harder for his goals this season, kicking just 24 from 14 games, but the opportunities have been fewer in a lean year for the Dockers. Longmire is wary.

"We understand that there'll be a big crowd there. We know that the respect Matthew (Pavlich) has got throughout the competition is enormous,” he said.

"When you come up against a Ross Lyon-coached team, you know what you're going to get, and that's a pretty competitive, disciplined outfit.”
