AUSTRALIA'S Sally Pearson has qualified with the fastest time for the final of the women's 100 metre hurdles.

Pearson strode through her semi-final with a time of 12.39 - one of the quickest times in the world this year.

Pearson closest competition will come from the United States' stable, with Dawn Harper (12.46) and Kellie Wells (12.51) producing strong semi-final runs.
