TWO men who were living inside a Toolooa St unit are in police custody and waiting for specialist clandestine drug laboratory police officers to arrive from Brisbane.
The men, one 56 years old and the other 46 years old, were taken into custody after police raided the unit this morning.
Police will allege a drug laboratory was found inside.
Gladstone Criminal Investigation Branch detective senior sergeant Luke Peachey said the lab was not cooking at the time it was discovered.
He said police will allege it has produced the "dangerous drug ice" in the past.
Police cannot search the property until the specialist officers from Brisbane arrive and charges won't be laid until the unit has been searched.
IT is believed police are investigating a possible drug lab at 61 Toolooa St.
A neighbour said he didn't hear a thing until he saw a police car turn up half an hour ago.
He hadn't noticed anything suspicious from the residents who live at the apartment.
Another neighbour said she heard shouting between 10.30 and 11pm last night.
But she wasn't certain it was coming from the same apartment.
There is a police officer inside the apartment and police tape has been placed at the entrance of the apartment.
We will have more information after 10am.
