CHRISTMAS spirit was in the air at the Harvey Norman Centre, with residents enjoying a Christmas party in the car park despite sweltering conditions.

Plenty of families turned out to try some food, play games, take part in some early Christmas shopping and get their photos taken with Santa at the event, which was organised by Colliers International, Round Square Marketing and Harvey Norman.

Party MC and Colliers International commercial agent Dan Dwan said it was the perfect to celebrate 2019 and ring in the holidays.

"It's supporting a lot of our retailers here in the centre - Harvey Norman is the main retailer here, but it's bringing all the tenants together," he said.

"We want to see a good turnout for all the retailers by getting people to shop for Christmas."
