A NUMBER of new faces will be in the Collingwood line-up when the NAB Challenge match against Geelong gets under way at Simonds Stadium tomorrow night.

The Magpies have left out a few star names with Dane Swan and Ben Reid the highest-profile omissions from the squad.

Coach Nathan Buckley has also not picked Jarryd Blair, Ben Sinclair (shoulder), Nathan Brown, Alan Toovey (knee), Sam Dwyer and Paul Seedsman (hip).

Buckley has decided to run with mature-age recruits Jesse White, Tony Armstrong and Taylor Adams, while the Magpies will also give game time to draftees Nathan Freeman, Tom Langdon and Jonathon Marsh.

Draftee Jarrod Jansen is the only new player in the Cats' line-up. Coach Chris Scott will be without first-choice players Joel Selwood (foot), Steven Motlop (knee) and Allen Christensen (hip).

Both clubs were allowed to name 29-man squads yesterday, with three players to be omitted before the match.

The teams will name two subs before the game and, unlike regular-season matches, will be able to change their subs at half-time.
