How to make the perfect pizza
WE love starting new traditions in our family, and moving forward one of the traditions that will stick is Saturday night pizza.
Everyone enjoys a lovely homemade pizza. We make our own tomato base sauce and keep our toppings to a minimum, usually serrano ham, olives, whole fennel seeds, buffalo mozzarella and fresh basil.
This week we wanted to share with you how quick and simple it is to create your own pizza base. Give it a go with your family tonight.

Pizza base dough
Makes 1-2 medium-sized pizza bases
1 ½ cups plain flour
½ cup self-raising flour
1 tbs yeast
1 tbs salt
¼ - ½ cup warm water.
METHOD: Sift flours together in a large bowl then add yeast and salt. Slowly add water until dough comes together and is not sticky.
Place on a lightly floured surface and knead for 3-4 mins. Bring back into a ball. It should be soft to touch. Allow to sit for 10-15 mins.
Roll out very thin and place on an oiled pizza tray. Then top your pizza with your favourite ingredients and place in a very hot oven between 250-300 degrees.
