Jay Laga'aia shows off in Central Highlands
OPEN wide, come inside - it's the Emerald Show!
We have all seen him playing with Big Ted and Jemima on Play School, or protecting the coastline in Water Rats, but in June, Jay Laga'aia will be taking a break from our television screens and making his way around the Emerald Show.
Kindy ambassador Jay will be in the Central Highlands as part of the, Say g'day to Jay, Kindy Roadshow.
Jay will be performing free music concerts at the Show for young fans, aiming to promote kindy in regional areas.
"The Say g'day to Jay Kindy Roadshow is an opportunity to share the benefits of kindergartens to families in rural and remote areas," Jay said.
"We're bringing kindy fun to regional Queensland to show families why kindy counts.
"I'm so excited to be sharing the kindy fun with families in the local communities as we celebrate kindy across regional Queensland.
"You better be ready to sing and dance.
"I'll be performing my new kindy song as well as plenty of my fun classics."
The Say g'day to Jay Kindy Roadshow is travelling to Rockhampton, Blackwater, Emerald, Barcaldine and Longreach between June 2-6.
Jay will be at the Blackwater Goodstart Kindergarten opening on Tuesday, June 3, and will then put on a free show for families at the Blackwater Civic Centre at 2pm.
On Wednesday he will be performing at the Emerald Show at 10.30am and 1.30pm.
