PM heading to dry bush

PRIME Minister Tony Abbott will tour drought-affected areas of New South Wales and Queensland today to see the impacts of the drought.

He has signalled the government will expand its

relief program for farmers, who have been battling worsening drought conditions.

Joining him will be Agriculture Minister Barnaby Joyce, who has been publicly lobbying for more drought assistance for farmers.
