Police guard service station after late-night fire

POLICE guarded a service station overnight after a fire was reported at the Margate site on Thursday.

On arrival, emergency services extinguished the blaze that caused some damage to the building.

The scene was guarded by officers and specialist teams will attend this morning to conduct further investigations.

No one was injured as a result of the fire.

Police do not know what caused the blaze.
