Do you know this man? Cops looking for armed robbery suspect

UPDATE:  Police have released new CCTV footage of a man who may be able to assist with an investigation into a series of armed robberies stretching from Ipswich into Yeronga and Robertson.

Detective Acting Inspector Tony Geary said the community could be the key to solving at least two robberies that have occurred this week.

"In Yeronga on Tuesday night at about 8.50pm, a man had his white 2016 Toyota Corolla stolen at gun point on Brisbane Corso just before 9pm," Detective Acting Inspector Geary said. "A few hours later, around 12.30am, a gunman threatened an occupant of a home in Hillardt St at Robertson before stealing cash and a black Jeep Cherokee.

"The man in question is described as Caucasian, between 25-30 years old, with a slim build, approximately 190cm tall, with blonde hair. He was wearing long dark pants and dark hoodie.

"We have released new footage today in the hope that someone recognises the three men depicted.

"Anyone who does so, or has any information relating to these incidents, should contact Crime Stoppers or local police."

EARLIER: Police are investigating a series of car-jackings and armed robberies that started in Ipswich.

It is alleged that at about 8.30pm Monday, a man was confronted in his front yard at Goodna by at least three offenders armed with a hand gun who then stole a grey Subaru.

From there the trio travelled to Brisbane Corso at Yeronga. Here they ran a Corolla off the road and produced a shortened shotgun before stealing the car and the driver's credit cards.

Later that night there was an attempt to use one of those cards at the Redbank Plains tavern.

Police believe the gunmen then committed another robbery at Robertson where they entered a premises, pushed the shotgun into the chest of a home owner and stole and black Jeep Cherokee.

Anyone with information which could assist should contact Crime Stoppers anonymously via 1800 333 000.
