Police want to talk to this man after last week's pharmacy robbery.

DETECTIVES have released an image of a man they believe was involved in the armed robbery of a pharmacy at Twin Waters last Friday.

The man (pictured) was seen to be wearing a white protective suit covering his body and hazmat mask.

He is described as being in his 40s, Caucasian in appearance, of a slim build, with grey/brown hair and around 178cms tall.

Police say at around 12.15pm on Friday January 15, the man entered the Ocean Drive business and threatened three female staff members with a knife, before demanding they hand over a quantity of drugs.

After being handed the drugs, police believe the man forced the women into the back of the store, sprayed them with liquid and left an item on the counter that was made to look like an explosive device.

The man then fled the scene on foot, and was last seen heading towards a nearby golf course.

Nobody sustained serious physical injuries, and chemical and air tests were completed, all of which came back clear.

He was seen by witnesses walking around outside the pharmacy and a nearby doctor's surgery for about 40mins before entering the pharmacy.

Sunshine Coast detectives urge anyone with information which could lead to the identity of this man, or who may have any other information which could assist in this investigation, to contact Crime Stoppers or Policelink.
