Bullet casing found near primary school

UPDATE: 2:30pm

Police have found a bullet casing at Rowley Rd, across from Burpengary Meadows State School confirming the location of the shooting.

The 38-year-old man had left the Woodpecker Bar & Grill by foot when he was shot.

Police were first made aware of the incident when the man was found in Caboolture.

How the man got from Burpengary to Caboolture remains unknown at this point as investigations continue.


Early details are still sketchy surrounding a shooting in Caboolture last night as police attempt to work with the victim to find answers.

Police say the victim is a 38-year-old male who was allegedly shot in the ankle or lower leg at Manley St, Caboolture.

He was rushed to the Royal Brisbane Hospital with minor injuries, but hasn't been 'forthcoming' with information at this moment.

Investigations are continuing.
