By hosting an event for Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea, you can help raise vital funds for cancer.

GATHER some friends, bring out your finest china and put some biscuits on the table for Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea.

The annual morning tea will be held on Thursday, May 26, and you can make every cup count towards raising funds for cancer research by holding your event for the occasion.

The morning tea can be held anywhere, including home, office, school or with a community group and everyone is invited.

“May is morning tea time. So tea up your friends or workmates and help tip the balance in the fight against cancer,” regional fundraising co-ordinator for Cancer Council Queensland Casandra Kunst said.

“Community support for Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea locally will go a long way to helping us raise more than $2.15 million from the campaign in Queensland this year.”

Funds raised from Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea are invested into Cancer Council Queensland’s vital cancer research, patient support services and education programs.

“Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea is the largest, most successful fundraising event of its kind in Australia,” she said.

“More than 5900 morning tea hosts are expected to take part in the event throughout Queensland.”
