ONE Nation is neck-and-neck with Labor as first preference votes trickle in for Cook, with Katter's Australian Party close behind.

The Electoral Commission of Queensland reveals the ALP's Cynthia Lui was sitting at 26.34 per cent of the vote at 6.50pm.

One Nation's Jen Sackley was at 23.83 per cent, followed by Gordon Rasmussen with 22.18 per cent for Katter's Australian Party.

LNP candidate Penny Johnson was back at 19.22 per cent, with 2080 votes counted.

Ms Sackley says it is too close to call.

"We've had a great response, but it is in the lap of the gods and the hands of the people," she said.

"However it turns out, it's going to be what the people want it to be - and I will honour that completely."

Pauline Hanson earlier predicted Cook would wash up among One Nation's strongest electorates in the Queensland election.

Speaking on Channel 7, Ms Hanson told reporters she was also expecting a strong result from booths in the Townsville region.
