Premier calm as he cast his vote to stay in power
POLLS might be against him holding his seat but Queensland Premier Campbell Newman presented a calm face as he voted this morning.
Speaking to constituents and supporters he said he believed he had done all he could to hold Ashgrove.
Mr Newman told reporters it "wasn't about him" holding his seat, but about his government staying in power.
Still not sure who to vote for?
Recent polls have pointed to Labor candidate Kate Jones taking the seat from Mr Newman, who would become the first first-term Queensland Premier to lose his seat since Digby Denham in 1915.
However, Mr Newman's government is expected to be returned - with a significantly reduced majority.
The polls close at 6pm this afternoon.
