Prisoner stabbed at Rockhampton prison

A PRISONER at the Capricornia Correctional Centre was taken to Rockhampton Hospital about 11.30am yesterday after an alleged stabbing at the facility.

A Queensland Corrective Services spokesperson said the prisoner was treated for a "small, non-life threatening injury".

"The prisoner has since returned to the facility," the spokesperson said.

"As the matter is now the subject of a Correctional Service Investigations Unit investigation no further comment can be made."
