ONE woman's vision has changed the lives of a generation in the South Pacific.

Back in July Faith Johnson set out on a mission to Fiji to help people in need.

On Monday, less than two months after her first visit, she and a group of 10 family and friends will leave to build a house for an isolated family living in a dilapidated tin shed.

"I found out about an old woman and three generations of the family living on the side of an inaccessible mountain," Faith said.

Within the first weeks of arriving home she had raised funds and engaged the efforts of local Fijian boys to build 200 metres of concrete steps to the property.

Seagulls try-scoring wizard Nathanael Barnes is one of the diverse group, including builders, a massage therapist and academic, a primary school teacher and a high school student who will build the home in less than three weeks.

Barnes will leave mad Monday post grand final celebrations to contribute to the effort.

"I have no tradies skills at all, but I am definitely up for it," he said.
