QLD woman nets $1.3m after winning Lotto twice

A QUEENSLAND woman has become an instant millionaire after winning Lotto twice.

The Daily Mail reports the Cairns woman, who wished to remain anonymous, accidentally purchased two tickets in the same draw.

Each winning ticket was worth more than $647,000 netting her a total prize of nearly $1.3 million.

Golden Casket says based on one game, the odds of winning a division one prize of $675,000 is one in 8,145,060.

The woman said she chose those winning numbers "because they mean something special to me".

She was two of six entries that won a division one prize of about $675,000 in Saturday's draw. The others were from Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria and Western Australia.

She said she plans on using the money on a home and sharing some with her family.
