Offenders sold on tasty idea
QUICK thinking on the part of a Blackwater Hot Bread worker saw the business stave off two intruders – and make a profit.
Police said two men reportedly smashed a louvre with a fire extinguisher taken from a bracket outside the Railway St bakery about 11.30pm on Sunday, June 19.
Upon finding bars on the toilet window and therefore not able to climb inside, the two men continued their attempt to break in.
One of the two employees working inside then opened the back door of the bakery and sold the two men three pies for $25.
Soon after, the two men left the area but not before CCTV recorded the incident. Police reported the employees were quite scared.
