Reds striker is ready to take on the Sky Blues

ADELAIDE United striker Bruce Djite says the Reds are taking the FFA Cup seriously and are keen to beat Sydney FC in tonight's quarter-final at Allianz Stadium.

Josep Gombau has named a squad close to full strength, and Djite said the players were ready to take down another A-League outfit in the knockout competition following wins over Wellington and Brisbane.

"It's an important competition and we've got to treat it accordingly," he said.

Sydney FC coach Graham Arnold has also named a strong squad despite a temptation to rest players such as marquee man Mark Janko and in-form striker Corey Gameiro.

Djite (pictured) acknowledged the Sky Blues had been one of the form teams in the A-League, but said the Reds were up to the task.

"They (Sydney FC) have had a good start to the season as well, but we're confident that we should be able to get a good result."
