Rental deal of a lifetime

ONE lucky Blackwater pensioner has been offered the chance of a lifetime with a free, fully furnished apartment with power included up for grabs.

This is an unheard of offer in any town, let alone Blackwater.

The owners of Blackwater Mowing have offered a free apartment which will go to one lucky applicant, who will have to do little more than be available to greet any visitors to the business with a friendly smile should no one be there.

"All we need is for someone to be there in case we're away, that's it," Blackwater Mowing owner Rick Bavin said.

"The flat is basic but it is furnished and all that anybody would need is the clothes they wear and bedding and towels. It would be ideal for a pensioner."

Mr Bavin said the light "caretaker" duties exchanged for free rent and electricity would most likely consist of no more than four hours per month of light work.

"They will be required to be available during the day to look after the mower shop in case Sid (the other owner) is called away for hire cars or mowing jobs," Mr Bavin said.

"Those wishing to apply for this opportunity can call Blackwater Mowing on 4986 1814.

Mr Bavin said people who are working or on the dole should not apply.
