Residents drink in the concept of kindness

RESIDENTS can now drink in the concept of kindness.

Mark Ricks has collected his first shipment of Random Acts of Kindness bottled water, which he hopes will flood the local community with a message of goodwill.

He bought the 1680 custom-labelled 600ml bottles from Source Direct Australia.

Mr Ricks is proprietor of Feel Good Promotions, which is driving the Random Acts of Kindness customer incentive program.

Launched in 2012, it encourages residents to "pay forward" goods or services to others.

Mr Ricks said the bottled water would be the first in a range of food and beverage products marketed with the RAOK brand.

"It is a commercial product that carries and reinforces our goodwill message," he said.

"We want it to be empowering - a brand that will put kindness back on the agenda."

And Mr Ricks said there was another "feel-good aspect" to the water.

By buying through Source Direct Australia, a percentage of sales goes to Clown Doctors, who deliver a dose of good humour to sick children in hospitals across Australia.

Mr Ricks said RAOK products would create opportunities to extend more goodwill to others.

A number of stores will stock and sell the water but Mr Ricks would love to see it adopted by workplaces and community and sporting organisations.
