MOTOCROSS: Middlemount will host the final round of the Central Highlands Motocross Series this weekend to determine who will be crowned victorious in each class.
Central Highlands Series publicity officer Sharon Pease said with most of the classes coming down to the wire, the top five will not be decided until the final race.
"It has been a great series, so many amazing highs and to see how our riders have grown throughout the series is great,” she said.
"Last weekend Dysart put on a great meet for our fourth round and the fast track really gave our riders a chance to show off.
"Our senior open race was a real heart-stopper with some amazing riding and epic battles, there were definitely some nail-biting moments.
"Vets and ladies is always a great race to watch as well with our series leaders battling it out to get every possible point leading in to the final round.”
Pease said they had a couple of new riders join in which mixed things up and provided some great entertainment.
"Our final round in Middlemount promises to continue delivering plenty of action, and plenty of riders,” she said.
"For a lot of our riders this will be the second last race meet of the year for them so nothing will be left in the tank.
"The CH Series is a very special series for our riders as it was set up as a real family friendly fun series about six years ago and I can guarantee that everyone will be giving their all to see this year's series out with a bang.
"These people become your family, as for a most of us we spend every weekend together at different tracks and everyone knows and looks out for everyone elses's kids and it is just a great family environment.”
With the weather heating up, the motocross season is beginning to wrap up with the riders expected to enjoy some rest before getting back into training.
"Anyone who is looking for something to do this weekend should come down to Middlemount track to watch some great racing and watch our top riders get crowned,” Pease said. Racing starts at 8.30am both days and a canteen is open.
