Young mum shaken up by road rage attack

A TOOWOOMBA mother has detailed a terrifying road rage incident which happened while she had her infant child in her car.

Tiffehnie Vos was returning to Toowoomba from Dalby shortly before 9am on Thursday when she noticed a motorcycle rider following very close to the rear of her car.

Miss Vos, 24, said she was driving at the speed limit as she approached the 100kmh zone on Dalby's eastern outskirt.

"He was revving his bike and basically just saying get out of the way," Miss Vos said.

She said the man kept riding very close to her until he went past.

"I gave him the finger and then he cut in front of me."

She said the man returned the gesture and she thought that would be the end of it.

However, she said the rider slammed on his brakes, which caused her to do the same.

All the while her eight-month-old daughter Amani was riding in her car.

"He has pulled up beside my driver's side window.

"He was yelling and waving his hands in my face.

She said the man then punched her rear view mirror and continued to yell at her.

"Then he kicked the side of my car.

"I just pulled over straight away.

"I was pretty shaken up."

She called the police and gave them the rider's registration details before calling her partner in tears.

"The mirror wasn't damaged, but I've got a dent in the door where his boot kicked the side of my car."

Police are investigating.
