RONAN Keating admits the last few months have been a "really scary time" as he tries to cope with the fallout from his affair.

The singer - who cheated on Yvonne, his wife of 12 years, with Boyzone backing dancer Francine Cornell - made his heartfelt confession to his fans while performing at the Henley Festival, Oxon, England, on July 11.

Ronan - who was wearing his wedding ring - confessed it was the support of his fans that had helped him deal with the possibility he may not be able to save his marriage to Yvonne, 36.

He said: "It has been a really scary time. Thanks so much for all the support from you over the past few weeks. You were the ones who kept me going."

After his admission, Ronan managed to force a smile as his fans applauded him.

During his two-hour set, the 33-year-old pop star performed a host of solo tracks including Love is a Rollercoaster, When You Say Nothing at All and Tomorrow Never Comes.

Ronan flew in from Australia where he has been judging the country's version of TV talent show The X Factor for the concert and he also played a show in Wigan, England, for the Wigan Life Tuned In event on July 9.

The singer - who was thrown out of the marital home in Dublin, Ireland, by Yvonne in May - returned Down Under on July 12 with his three children, Jack, 11, Marie, nine, and Ali, four, to continue shooting the series.
