New model Honda makes Civic sedan more compelling
HONDA Australia has given its Civic sedan range an update with its Honda Sensing safety and driver-assist technologies now available on the VTi-L and RS grades, along with a number of exterior styling and interior design upgrades across all variants.
"The inclusion of Honda Sensing as standard equipment on two additional Civic sedan models represents another step in our plan to introduce the full suite of intelligent driver-assist and active safety technologies right across the Honda vehicle range over the next few years," Honda Australia director Stephen Collins said.
"Since we announced that plan in May last year, we've added Honda Sensing on to the CR-V VTi-S AWD model and now all three Civic sedan models with the 1.5-litre VTEC turbo engine are equipped with Honda Sensing, reflecting our ongoing commitment to support the safe and comfortable driving of our customers.
"We are confident Honda Sensing will provide them with a system that is both intuitive and effective, and at the most affordable price point yet for a Honda vehicle.
"The Civic sedan remains one of the top choices for private buyers in the small car segment and it continues to offer outstanding value-for-money for customers.
"When you factor in the additional safety technology and the improved functionality of the major cabin controls, the new Civic sedan offers the complete package - performance, quality and reliability, wrapped in a sleek and modern sporty exterior that is sure to catch the eye of small car buyers."
In addition to the wider availability of Honda Sensing, the new Civic sedan also introduces a number of exterior styling and interior design upgrades across the range.
The Civic RS sedan leads the way with new 18in alloy wheels fitted with wider tyres.
Every Civic sedan variant now features a unique wheel as a result of fresh designs and new colour treatments that have been applied across the range.
The VTi and VTi-S grades both have all-new wheel designs, while the VTi-L wheel has a new, dark grey finish. The high-series VTi-LX is now fitted with its own distinctive alloy wheel courtesy of the previous RS wheel design, but with a new dark grey finish applied.
The front bumper has been redesigned with a new lower grille, while a piano black upper grille is now fitted to all models apart from the VTi.
The lower grille garnishes and fog light surrounds are now also finished in matching gloss black on all variants.
There are many other design and equipment changes to individual grades such as electrically retractable door mirrors with auto-fold function on VTi-L, RS and VTi-LX.
The new sedan starts T $24,990 drive away for the VTi sedan up to $37,199 for the flagship VTi-LX.
