Sam's not sour after Australian Survivor elimination

SAM Webb's Australian Survivor exit at the hands of his good mate was bitter-sweet for the charity CEO.

The 28-year-old found himself at odds with buddy Lee Carseldine as the show reaches its final days.

At tonight's tribal council it was confirmed Flick had formed a tenuous alliance with Matt and Kristy to try to take on long-time conspirators and now real-life couple El and Lee, and it was Sam who was caught in the crossfire.

"I have no hard feelings against anybody in this world let alone on the show," Sam told APN.

"He blocked my vote at tribal council, so it was a bitter-sweet exit for me.

"If you're going to be at the end then you want to be up against someone you can beat and they obviously thought I was a threat and didn't want me around.

"I value how they've played the game and I wouldn't have wanted them at the end of the game with me either."

But he isn't backing former cricket pro Lee to win the show.

"If I could vote with my emotions, then I'd vote for Matt," he said.

"He's stuck by his word to me for the whole game, from what I've seen anyway. I didn't trust Flick, Matt or Lee."

The Livin co-founder said he has been run off his feet since appearing on Survivor. His charity, which offers mental health support, also got a handy plug from film star Chris Hemsworth, who wore a Livin hoodie while filming for Thor: Ragnarok in Brisbane.

"I haven't stopped since I got back; Livin has growing exponentially," he said.

"For one person like him (Hemsworth) to have such an impact on a profile basis and to help change perceptions on such a taboo topic is special. But on the flip side it's also disappointing that we have to get someone so big to back a charity like us to get the word out there."

He said his experience on Survivor has helped him to be even more thankful for his life in Sydney.

"We got to choose to live on a deserted island in the Pacific Ocean. We knew we were coming back to comfort and our lives in Australia. There are people who actually live that life 24/7 without any choices," he said.

"It's ridiculous how much I've taken away from it in terms of gratitude and appreciation.

"Each day is a brand new day and that's how I approach every day in the real world with my charity."

Sam will now join the show's jury of eliminated castaways, who will determine the reality show's winner.

Australian Survivor continues on Sunday at 7.30pm on Channel 10.
