Sarina woman charged after man taken to hospital

A SARINA woman has been charged in relation to an incident at the weekend.

Police responding to reports of a large disturbance involving an unknown number of people were called to a Utah Ave, Sarina, address at 12.45pm on Saturday.

Officers found a man with lacerations to his head and back. He was taken to the Mackay Base Hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

A woman was taken into custody a short time later.

A 32-year-old woman has been charged with one count of unlawful wounding and is due to appear in the Mackay Magistrates Court on Tuesday, April 18.
