Sat nav standard on Ford Falcon FG X and Territory MkII

THE end of the road is approaching for Ford's Australian-built Falcon FG X and Territory MkII, but at least buyers will know where they are going with sat navigation becoming standard equipment.

From April 1 production, Falcon sedan, Falcon ute and Territory MkII models will all be equipped with sat nav - but prices rise by $500.

"The Falcon FG X and Territory MkII already deliver high levels of customer appeal and connectivity with SYNC2, Emergency Assistance, a WiFi hotspot and full digital radio - all standard," said Ford general marketing manager David Katic.

"With sat-nav now available across the Falcon sedan and ute, as well as Territory ranges, from April 1 production we are aiming to make our customers' lives more convenient."

The satellite navigation system uses the same SYNC2 architecture and high-resolution 20.3cm touch-screen system currently standard on G6E, G6E Turbo, Falcon XR6 Turbo sedan, Falcon XR6 Turbo ute, Falcon XR8 and Territory MkII Titanium.

As satellite navigation will no longer be part of the Luxury Pack option for Falcon XR6 sedan and Falcon XR6 ute, the recommended price of the Luxury Pack will be reduced by $500. The revised cost of the Luxury Pack will be $3850 on the Falcon XR6 and $2100 on the Falcon XR6 Turbo.
