Police seek identity of Coast climber found dead

INVESTIGATIONS are continuing into the death of a man in the Glasshouse Mountains National Park.

Police were notified at 9am yesterday morning that a man had been found on Mt Tibrogargan.

Police, ambulance officers and fire crews attended the scene. The man was unable to be retrieved using the walking track and medical staff had to utilise an old bush track to bring him out.

It is believed the man was alone and was not wearing climbing gear.

A police media spokesperson said officers were still trying to identify the man.

The circumstances surrounding how the man came to fall were also being investigated.
