Newcastle date for Segeyaro

DYNAMIC hooker James Segeyaro could be a late inclusion in the Cowboys side to take on Newcastle at Dairy Farmers Stadium on Saturday night.

The Penrith-bound Segeyaro hasn't played since suffering a syndemosis injury to his ankle against the Gold Coast in round 13.

He began training with the Cowboys full NRL squad last week, and could be rushed into the team to play the Knights, or come back through the Q Cup.

Meanwhile forward Ricky Thorby, named on a extended bench against the Knights, will miss the next two games after picking up a lower leg injury against the Dragons on Monday night.

And half-back Ray Thompson's season is over after he had surgery on his injured shoulder yesterday.
