Traffic flows again on Sunshine Motorway after two-car crash


Holiday makers heading south after a long weekend on the Sunshine Coast can breathe a sigh of relief.

Traffic is flowing again after a two car crash on the Sunshine Motorway.

With wet weather expected this afternoon, motorists are urged to drive to conditions. 


UPDATE: TWO vehicles involved in a crash on the Sunshine Motorway are being towed from the scene.

The injured woman has been taken to Nambour General Hospital, with suspected head injuries.

Police expect traffic to clear shortly.

Officers have now been called to a second crash at 12.50pm at Parrearra Avenue on Kawana Island.

It's understood a vehicle has rolled.

Two adults and a child are being treated by emergency services at the scene.


EARLIER:  Sunshine Motorway blocked after two car crash.

A woman is being treated for serious head injuries after a two car crash on the Sunshine Motorway at Sippy Downs.

The incident occurred at 12.10pm today. 

Emergency services are on scene.

The woman is still in the vehicle .

The south bound traffic is chaotic and motorists are asked to be patient.
