HAIL has battered Dalby this afternoon but storms are easing in southern Queensland.
The bureau says the immediate threat of severe thunderstorms has passed and they have cancelled the warning for south-east Queensland.
A SEVERE thunderstorm warning has been issued for Toowoomba with predictions of heavy rainfall, damaging winds and hail.
The warning was issued by the Bureau of Meteorology about 3.30pm.
The bureau warns that, at 3.35 pm, severe thunderstorms were detected on weather radar near Jondaryan and Bowenville.
These thunderstorms are moving towards the southeast. They are forecast to affect the area west of Oakey by 4.05 pm and Oakey and the area west of Toowoomba by 4.35 pm.
Damaging winds, heavy rainfall that may lead to flash flooding and large hailstones are likely.
