WATER POLO: The Australian Sharks, which includes Mooloolaba's Billy Miller, faces Hungary tonight in the first of their two classification matches.

Having lost their semi-final to Serbia on Wednesday night, the Sharks face the Hungarians to decide who plays off for fifth spot against the winner of the clash between the USA and Spain.

The losers of those two matches will face each other in the battle for seventh and eighth.

Mooloolaba's Miller has been an integral part of the Australian campaign and will be trying to add to his haul of eight goals at his maiden Olympics.

The Sharks' loss to Serbia ended Australia's hopes of a medal in water polo, after the women's Stingers side went down to the USA earlier in the week.

Australia led the Serbians 7-4 in the men's match, but was no match in the second half as the gold medal favourites bridged the deficit before running away with the match.

The Serbians, who won silver in Athens and bronze in Beijing, face Italy for a spot in the gold medal match. Croatia will play Montenegro in the other semi-final.

The losers of those matches will play off for bronze on the final day of competition on Sunday.
